Although joint replacement surgery is considered the largest and most definitive surgery on a joint, its satisfaction rate is high (90 to 98 percent) and improves the patient's quality of life and health.

Dr. Mohammad Rouhi is part of the first group of Iranian orthopedic doctors who have completed advanced courses and modern treatment of joint injuries with arthroscopy, arthroplasty (joint replacement) and sports rehabilitation at the best universities in France. He is also the first Iranian orthopedic doctor to participate in the first training course of the International Olympic Committee from 2013-2015 and has succeeded in receiving a certificate in sports injury treatment along with Olympic events management from the Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Dr. Mohammad Rouhi entered the University of Tehran in 1983 and graduated from that university with honors in 1989.

He was accepted into the orthopedics department (bone and joint surgery) at the University of Tehran in 1993 and achieved the highest rank on the orthopedic specialty board. Dr. Mohammad Rouhi worked as an assistant professor and orthopedic specialist at Babol University of Medical Sciences in 1998 as an educational and research assistant for medical students and orthopedic residents.

He was one of the founders of the Mazandaran Branch of the Society of Orthopedic Surgeons and at one point served as its president.

Dr. Mohammad Roohi is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Iranian Orthopedic Trauma and Accident Association (POTA) and, with the assistance of his colleagues, has held numerous congresses, orthopedic seminars, and lectures on his research.

Dr. Mohammad Rouhi continued to improve his academic level by completing his postgraduate studies and in 2004-2005, with the help of the late Professor Keyvan Mazda, head of the orthopedic department of the Robert Debret Children's Hospital in Paris, and Dr. Saeed Tavakoli, a pediatric orthopedic specialist who was doing a fellowship at that hospital at the time, he went to France.

After a while, with the help of Professor Mazda and Dr. Philippe Landreau, he began his fellowship in the orthopedic department of the University Hospital of Pitie-Salpêtrière, Paris VI, Sorbonne University, France, in the service of Professor Gerald Sion, in the subspecialty field of knee surgery, arthroscopy, and joint reconstruction. He also worked in sports injury surgery clinics under the supervision of Professor Eric Roland, orthopedic surgeon and trusted physician of the Paris Saint-Germain football team, in the same Pitie hospital and with Dr. Philippe Landreau at the private hospital of Saint-Marcel, Paris 13.

Dr. Mohammad Roohi returned to Iran at the end of 2005 and, in addition to his teaching work, he treated patients in Iran as an orthopedic specialist and a specialist in knee and sports injuries. Along with a few other pioneers, he became one of the pioneers of arthroscopic knee, shoulder, and ankle surgery in Iran.

In 2013, upon the invitation of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Dr. Mohammad Rouhi was introduced as a member of the European Society of Sports Knee Trauma and with the recommendation of Dr. Mohammad Razi, President of the Iranian Orthopedic Society and the Iranian Society of Knee and Sports Injuries, as well as Dr. Philippe Landreau from the French Society of Arthroscopy, for a two-year training course with numerous workshops in different European countries. Dr. Mohammad Rouhi received his latest degree in sports injuries and athlete rehabilitation along with training in organizing Olympic events in 2015 from the headquarters of the Olympic Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland, from Professor Thomas Bach, then President of the International Olympic Committee.
